England beat New Zealand by 87 runs and became the first team to reach semifinals of the ICC Champions Trophy

Chasing 310, New Zealand were cruising at one stage at 158-2 in 30 overs with Kane Williamson 87(98) and Ross Taylor 39(59) at the crease. But Mark Wood’s got rid off Williamson with a peach of a delivery and there after the Kiwis fell like nine pins and eventually bowled out for 223 in the 45th over.

Jake ball was named the Man-of-the-match for his 31-2 while Liam Plunkett picked up four wickets.

Earlier in the day, England batted first and posted 310, thanks to half-centuries from Jos Buttler 61*(48), Joe Root 64(65) and Alex Hales 56(62). For the Kiwis, Adam Milne and Corey Anderson picked up 3 wickets apiece.
