Fakhar’s brilliant hundred guides Pakistan to 338-4

Young Fakhar Zaman’s brilliant hundred helped Pakistan to post a huge 338-4 in 50 overs against India in the ICC Champions Trophy final. He made a blistering 114 of 106 balls.

Azhar Ali and him put on second consecutive 100 runs for the opening wicket. Ali was run out for a 59 off 71 balls. Once Azhar departed, Zaman became a different player altogether and started to smash Indian bowlers to the cleaners.

Mohammad Hafeez finished things off in grand style by making an unbeaten 57 from 37 balls. He and Imad Wasim 25*(21) carried on from where Fakhar left and ended the innings on a high.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar was exceptional for India, he bowled equally well in initial overs and death overs. He conceded only 44 runs in 10 overs including 2 maidens.
